Sandbanks Provincial Park is closed to day-use visitors for the second day in a row after reaching full capacity just after 11:00 a.m. on Sunday.

Day-use visitors are advised to come back on another day or return later in the evening.

The provincial park is still allowing in campers at this time, but they are advised that lineups are long and to expect increased wait times.

Wellington Rotary Beach was also closed as it has reached full capacity on Saturday, and is busy again on Sunday.

The municipally run beach will also close once it reaches capacity.

Beach-goers are reminded that there is a $20 cash charge to park at the beach and to stay 2 metres or 6 feet apart from anyone outside of their family or social circle.

In addition, swimming off private lands is not permitted without the landowner’s express permission and to respect all posted parking restrictions so that roads remain clear for emergency vehicles.

You could face a ticket or your vehicle could be towed if you leave your vehicle in a no-parking zone.
