The city's most closely watched and highly anticipated public project is “on time and on budget.”

The Yardmen Arena should be ready to go for the Belleville Senators first home game of their inaugural season on Nov. 1, Director of Recreation, Culutre and Community Services, Mark Fluhrer, said Monday at city council

A press release shared with council states more than 110 people are working on the site on an average day, with more than 17 trades on site.

Many are there seven days a week.

The report states that of the 33 different parts of the project, 14 are 100 per cent complete, including most of the structural work and servicing work.

Of the remaining projects, 10 are 80 per cent complete or better, and many of those that are less complete are things like hardware, railings, and walkways, as well as the score clock which is scheduled to be delivered in the next week.

Staff at Starboard Communications, which owns Inquinte.ca, 95.5 Hits FM and Cool 100 were given a tour of the facility on Tuesday to see first hand how things are coming and what the new facility might look like.
