A cemetery in Belleville is the latest to be vandalized by spray paint.

Belleville Police confirm about 200 headstones were damaged overnight Tuesday at St. James Cemetery in the city’s west end.

Acting Sergeant Eric Hadley said the investigation is in its early stages and at this point he cannot confirm or deny whether there is a connection with similar vandalism in Quinte West.

Last week Quinte West OPP reported multiple headstones were spray-painted at four cemeteries across the city.
