The No Limits Quinte Skyhawks Football Club brought a big crowd out for its season-opener on Sunday at Mary Anne Sills Field.

The Skyhawks Under-14, Under-16, and Under-18 squads played a tripleheader versus the York Lions to kickstart the Ontario Summer Football League season.

The U14s dropped a 26-20 decision to the Lions, but the other two teams came out on top, with the U16s thumping York 41-13 and the U18 group winning 29-8.

The Skyhawks gave thanks on its Facebook page to all the volunteers for making the home opener a huge success.

Next up for the Skyhawks is another tripleheader at Mary Anne Sills next Sunday.

The U14 and U18 squads both duel with the Huronia Stallions at 1 and 6 p.m., respectively, while the U16 team takes on the Clarington Knights in the middle game at 3:30 p.m.
