The Trenton branch of the Quinte West Public Library will reopen to the public for the majority of its regular services starting July 20, the city announced Thursday.

A release from City Hall notes physical distancing and limited capacity measures will be in place to protect the public and staff.

The Frankford Branch will reopen on Monday, July 27.

The hours of operation will be:

Thursday                 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.                           10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Friday                        10 a.m. - 5 p.m.                           10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Saturday                  10 a.m. - 4 p.m.                           10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

"We look forward to seeing familiar faces back at the Library," says Suzanne Humphreys, CEO, Quinte West Public Library. "We are excited that the public will be able to browse our collections, access the internet and explore all we have to offer."

Additional safety measures will include mask-wearing and frequent cleaning of high traffic surfaces. Library material will continue to be quarantined for the recommended 72 hours. If residents are unable to visit the library in person, staff will ensure that they can still access library material either by pick-up or delivery.

Library cards are available for residents. Those wishing to get one can apply online or contact the Library. Cardholders can access online resources through www.library.quintewest.ca.
