Traffic is slow at this time on Highway 2 in Quinte West.

A caller to our newsroom had been travelling on the stretch near the lights at 2nd Dug Hill Road, where there was a 'huge police presence' with about to 20 to 30 officers at the scene.

It took the caller a few minutes to get through and while one lane was open with alternating traffic -- that traffic had been backed up nearly a kilometer away in both directions late Wednesday morning (as of 10:45 a.m.).
