An annual event to support the Campbellford Memorial Hospital is back for 2023.

Registration is now open for the Ranney Gorge Run will take place on Sunday, May 7.

The Annual Ranney Gorge Run is BACK!

For Immediate Release, February 7, 2023

TRENT HILLS, ON – Get ready to Lace ‘em Up! For the return of the Ranney Gorge Run ~ Presented by Bay of Quinte Mutual Insurance Company. The Campbellford Memorial Hospital (CMH) Foundation is pleased to announce the popular run/walk will take place on Sunday, May 7th, 2023.   The annual run, in support of CMH, will once again take place on the roads of Ferris Provincial Park and over the breathtaking Ranney Gorge Suspension Bridge in Campbellford, ON. The event includes the officially timed 10.55K (half of a half marathon) and 5K run/walk routes and once again the popular 1K Fun Run for Kids.

Funds raised will support patient care and the purchase of new life-saving equipment for Campbellford Memorial Hospital. Last year, over 350 registered participants helped raise over $24,000 for the Hospital, bringing the total amount raised since the first Run in 2018 to over $97,000. CMH Foundation Executive Director John Russell says, “Each year this event gets better and better and we are very excited about the 2023 event. The route and scenery are captivating, especially when you cross the Ranney Gorge Suspension Bridge. Runners and Walkers from across Southern Ontario always make sure the Ranney Gorge Run is on their calendar.”

Race organizers are pleased to announce Bay of Quinte Mutual Insurance Company. is back as the run’s Signature Presenting Sponsor. Other confirmed supporters so far include Whitley Newman Insurance, the Rotary Club of Campbellford, the Lions Club of Campbellford, Erin Hobbs Graphic Design, Ontario Parks, TAP Timing and the Municipality of Trent Hills.

“We are honoured once again to see so many generous supporters assisting with this great event.” says CMH Foundation Chair Martha Hunt. “Community support is essential for keeping CMH a vibrant and well-equipped community hospital. We can’t thank the run supporters, participants and volunteers enough.”

Registration is now open for the Annual Ranney Gorge Run ~ Presented by Bay of Quinte Mutual Insurance Company. The 10.55K/5K early bird registration is just $40 ($50 after March 27th). Registration for the 1K Fun Run is still just $10. Once again all participants have the opportunity for free registration. If a participant registers and raises $150 in pledges for the Hospital they will get their registration fee refunded. Participants will get a Ranney Run Medal, t-shirt (10.55 K & 5K only), refreshments, and a free lunch.
