School buses cancelled in northern parts of Quinte

Slick roads are resulting in some last minute arrangements for parents in northern parts of the Quinte Region on Thursday.

Officials with Tri-Board Transportation say that all school buses have been cancelled today in the North and Central Hastings and North Addington regions. That includes all buses to schools in Bancroft, Marmora, Madoc, Stirling, Tweed and Cloyne.

STSCO has also cancelled all buses to Campbellford schools only today. Other buses in Northumberland are running, with some delays.

In Tri-Board's area, buses 132-1, 133-1, 145-1, 303-1, 313-1, 319-2, 327 (1st and 2nd runs), 335-1, 338 (1st and 2nd), 343 (1st and 2nd), 413-1, 414-1, 415-1, 419 (1st and 2nd), 439 (1st and 2nd), 450-1, 457 (1,2,3), 482 (1st and 2nd), 484 (1st and 2nd), 614 (1st and 2nd), 644-1, 647-1, 650-1, 651 (1st and 2nd), 664-1, 669-1, 670-1, 683 (1st and 2nd), 684 (1st and 2nd), 711 (1st and 2nd) 716-1, 717-1, 719 (1st and 2nd), 724-1, 749 (1st and 2nd), 807-1 have been cancelled today. 

Buses are running in other parts of the Quinte Region, with some delays expected on Thursday.

Rain fell later in the day on Thursday and that has resulted in poor conditions on some roads, and northern areas in Quinte were expecting some freezing rain on Wednesday.
