This is the 30th anniversary for the Quinte West Professional Firefighters Association Local 1328 Coats For Kids campaign.

Winter coats and jackets are collected throughout the year in an effort to keep area children in need warm.

More than 350 coats were given out last year -- donations are being collected at Fire Station 1 on Dixon Street in Trenton.

COVID-19 restrictions are in place for 2021 -- including the distribution of coats by appointment only by phoning Fire Station 1 at 613-392-6557.

The following is a full list of COVID-19 restrictions and distribution information:

New COVID-19 restrictions:

* Coats are distributed by appointment ONLY.

* Parents and guardians must phone Fire Station 1 to book an appointment for coat pickup at 613-392-6557.

* When booking appointments be sure of the size required.

* Please only send one family member per household to attend the pickup, and don’t forget ID for each child.

Distribution Information: Location 85 Marmora St. (Beside Fire Hall)

* Thursday, October 28, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

* Saturday, October 30, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

* Tuesday, November 2, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

* Saturday, November 6, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
