Quinte West unveils art exhibit celebrating 25 years

Quinte West Mayor Jim Harrison and members of Council unveiled a photo exhibit on Friday celebrating Quinte West’s 25th anniversary in 2023.

25 Years of Community featuring 16 photos marking some of the people, places, events, milestones and transformations that have shaped Quinte West over the years

It's only the first exhibit of the ‘Art on the Trent’ public art program.

In late 2022, the City received grant funding for the purchase of eight outdoor art frame structures, establishing the City’s ‘Art on the Trent’ public art program. As part of the program, art frame structures have been installed in RiverFront Square, Centennial Park and Frankford Tourist Park.

The art frames will be used to continously showcase public art in outdoor spaces.

“We are pleased to have these new art structures throughout Quinte West to display the creative talent in our community for all to enjoy,” says Mayor Jim Harrison. “These structures show the City’s commitment to supporting and showcasing our vibrant arts community.”
