Residents of Quinte West and beyond put on their finest finery Saturday night to once again raise thousands of dollars for their local hospital.
The Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation annual gala, themed Breakfast at Tiffany’s drew a capacity crowd to the Knights of Columbus hall to raise money to help by hospital equipment for TMH.
This year’s event included local politicians, including MP Neil Ellis and MPP Lou Rinaldi, and well as Quinte West Mayor Jim Harrison and Brighton Mayor Mark Walas.Also on hand were Col. Colin Keiver and Chief Warrant Officer Darcy Elder, as well as numerous business leaders in the community such as John Smylie and former mayor John Williams.
Besides the thousands raised through the silent auction and the live auction led by Jim Nelson, a special effort was raised specifically toward the recently announced Re-Imagining Campaign to raise money for a new MRI Machine.
The results of the fundraiser will be announced at a special sponsors thank you event on Wednesday.
