A new captain will be steering the ship at the Trent Port Marina in Quinte West.
 
City officials report Kathy Lammers has been hired as the Manager of Marinas and Waterfront Facilities, replacing outgoing manager Craig Carter.
 
Lammers has extensive marine industry experience, including having served as President of the Caribbean Sailing Association and chairman of the Regatta Organizing Committee for Antigua Sailing Week.

She will be responsible for the management of the 374-slip marina and fuelling station and her duties will range from managing marina personnel and budgeting to helping market the new facility to increase tourism.
 
Carter had served as the manager since the marina opened in 2015, and has agreed to stay on as Harbourmaster for the 2018 boating season to help with the transition.
