The Quinte West delegation has been dealing with much more than infrastructure at the AMO Conference in Ottawa this week.
On Wednesday, they met with The Honourable Michael Paras, Associate Minister of Housing.
Quinte West is joining other voices in requesting a Provincial review of the legislative balance between the rights of tenants and those of landlords.
Harrison says it's to help encourage more people to become landlords and increase the housing supply.
Earlier in the week, Harrison and other members of the delegation spoke with Northumberland-Peterborough South MPP David Piccini about VIA Train 651.
It used to run as a commuter option between Eastern Ontario and Toronto but was canceled by VIA due to declining ridership under COVID.
Piccini is urging people to attend a rally next month to pressure VIA to bring the service back.
It will be held in Cobourg on September 9th at 9 am.
Delegates are hearing from Municipal Affairs and Housing Minister Steve Clark on Tuesday.
High on the agenda this week are also meetings on infrastructure, widening the 401, and the doctor shortage.
