Two Quinte area festivals have once again been recognized among the top events in Ontario.

Festivals and Events Ontario announced the top 100 Festivals and Events of Distinction on Thursday during the FEO” annual conference in Richmond Hill.

The Belleville Waterfront and Multicultural Festival, July 9-12 this year, made the list for the sixth time, one of only two events recognized from the South Eastern Ontario Tourism Region.

Tweed Elvis Festival, Aug. 28-30, was the only event recognized in the Haliburton Highlands to Ottawa Valley Tourism Region.

Two nearby events were also recognized by FEO: Havelock Country Jamboree, Aug. 13-16, and Buckhorn Festival of the Arts, Aug. 16-16, were the only events honoured in the Kawartha and Northumberland Tourism Region
