Saturday was a tough day for Liberal candidates across Ontario, reeling over Kathleen Wynne's announcement to concede the provincial election.

Bay of Quinte candidate Robert Quaiff made a brief statement on Sunday morning, saying he is not giving up on his campaign to win a seat at Queen's Park on June 7th.

Quaiff says Saturday was a tough day for the Liberal party, but no one has counted themselves out with only three days until Ontarians head to the polls.

He added he and his fellow Grits knew that it would be tough going into the provincial campaign, but Quaiff says he never been afraid to stand up for what he believes in.

"It's not a question of whether to keep fighting, it's a question of what we're fighting for...and that's to stop either Doug Ford or the NDP from getting a majority government."

Quaiff continued, "Sending me to Queen's Park will help keep Doug Ford and the NDP on a short leash.  That's what we're fighting for and I'm still in this fight and we are still working hard every day and we'll continue to do so right up until Election Day."

The former Prince Edward County mayor says a minority government will allow the Liberals to prevent the Conservatives from scaling back the minimum wage or the NDP from raising taxes.

Quaiff vowed the Bay of Quinte riding will be 'Liberal red' after Thursday's vote.
