A Prince Edward County man faces a number of charges after an arrest by the OPP on Thursday.
 
58-year-old Michael Shepherd faces charges including operation of an unlicenced pleasure craft, entering premises where prohibited, and obstructing a peace officer when he appears in court on July 21.
 
The charges were laid after officers and members of the Prince Edward County and Quinte West OPP marine units were conducting patrol on Wellers Bay after 3:00 p.m.
 
Parties were observed on Bald Head Beach -- people are prohibited from entering as it is a National Wildlife Area.
 
Officers spoke to an individual who provided false identification and was eventually charged.
