A serious single-vehicle crash on the eastbound 401 past the Trenton OnRoute on Saturday.

Quinte West Fire Chief John Whelan says a crew from Station 2 responded after 2:00 p.m. -- a lone male in his twenties was ejected from the vehicle.

The man received First Aid from a doctor who had been travelling behind that vehicle until first responders eventually arrived.

The male was taken to Kingston General Hospital by Hastings Quinte EMS.

One eastbound lane was kept open at the scene to keep traffic moving.
