Two Northumberland County emergency services organizations are partnering to make Christmas a little brighter for families.

The Trent Hills Fire Department and the Northumberland Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) will be participating in a toy and food drive.

Officials with both organizations are encouraging the community to donate a new, unwrapped toy or non-perishable food item in Campbellford, Brighton, or Cobourg at the following locations.

Cobourg OPP Detachment

1165 Division St, Cobourg, ON

905-372-5421

Brighton OPP Detachment

95 Dundas St, Brighton, ON

613-475-1313

Campbellford OPP Detachment

20 Industrial Dr, Campbellford, ON

705-653-3300

Donations will be accepted from Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm, until December 13.

All donations collected will be distributed among local agencies that are working with families within Northumberland County who are currently experiencing difficult times or going through a crisis situation during this holiday season.
