A high-profile restaurant will be part of a major development in Trenton in 2023.

Officials have announced that Shoeless Joe’s Sports Grill will be opening its newest franchised restaurant at Homestead Marketplace next summer.

The new 10,000 sq. ft. restaurant and outdoor covered patio will be located at 4 Douglas Road in Trenton, and will be owned and operated by Mike and Nickey Eden.

It will result in another 40 jobs being added at the site, which will also be home to several other businesses.

THE COMFORTS OF HOME OUTDOORS

Shoeless Joe’s Trenton will be the home of Quinte’s largest outdoor covered patio open 8-9 months of the year. The 5,000 sq. ft. space will feature a full-service bar, lounge seating, an outdoor fire pit, massive TVs for watching your favourite sports teams, a stage for live music and entertainment, and additional restaurant seating.

Large aluminum bifolding glass windows separate the main restaurant from the patio giving Shoeless Joe’s Trenton the ability to turn into an open-air environment on days or nights when it’s suitable. The patio ceiling will be adorned with outdoor lights providing a warm and cozy ambience, alongside heaters to lengthen the season on cooler nights. 

The patio at Shoeless Joe’s Trenton will feature a large, built-in fire pit surrounded by Krahn outdoor Adirondack chairs, perfectly positioned for guests to enjoy the night sky. Both food and drinks will be offered in this section giving guests the opportunity to watch the sunset while enjoying quality time together and a delicious meal.   

CULINARY REVOLUTION

Food and sports work hand in hand to bring communities together. A sense of camaraderie is created when fans have an enjoyable meal together after work, root for the home team, or simply share a dining experience with their friends and families. Shoeless Joe’s Trenton will feature a delicious menu of elevated bar fare, including the Buffalo Chicken Flatbread and Crispy Shrimp Noodle Bowl, plus incredible offerings like Chicken Cordon Bleu and the Roasted Beet & Goat Cheese Power Bowl.

The restaurant will be open from lunch through dinner and into the evening for late night drinks and entertainment, offering a diverse selection of cocktails, wines, and beers. It will have two large, full-size bars, one inside and one outside under the covered patio. Each bar will have seating up to 12, plus the restaurant will offer booth seating for groups of 4, 6 and 8, as well as table options featuring leather bucket seats or classic chairs.

Shoeless Joe’s Trenton will be the Ultimate Sports Destination for sports enthusiasts. With big-screen HD TVs and a state-of-the-art audio/visual package, every seat will be the best seat in the house giving guests a panoramic view of sporting events. Additionally, an LED ribbon board will be displayed within the restaurant highlighting up-to-date sports scores and information about upcoming concerts and live entertainment.

Shoeless Joe’s Trenton won’t JUST be the place to watch your favourite sports teams – it will partner with local radio stations, businesses and non-profit organizations to bring our community exciting events all year long. The patio features a large stage perfect for live entertainment from local musicians and recording artists. The restaurant will host special events like trivia nights, fundraising campaigns, and viewing parties as well as take reservations for birthday parties, work events and holiday parties. 

SERVING UP SUCCESS

Over 40 new jobs will be created in Quinte West as a result of the new Shoeless Joe’s franchise. “The Shoeless Joe’s brand really emphasizes teamwork and a lot of our training is centered around how we work as a team,” Lopreiato says. The positions, which include directors, managers, hosts and hostesses, bartenders, servers, bussers and cooks will be hired through a job fair taking place in the Spring of 2023.
