A new Director of Education has been announced for the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board.
 
David DeSantis has been appointed to the position and will join the board in January.
 
He will replace Jody DiRicco, who is retiring at the end of January.
 
DeSantis' previous experience includes twenty years as a senior leader and educator with both the Halton and Waterloo Catholic District School Boards.
 
He was also seconded to the Ontario Ministry of Education last year as a Team Lead for the Student Achievement Supports Branch within the Student Achievement Division, working with various initiatives related to Early Years Learning and School Effectiveness, among other programs.
