The Lighted Boat Parade and Fireworks on the Lake set to happen later this evening in

celebration of Canada day has been postponed until tomorrow evening. A spokesperson for the

event has said that the event was deferred due to concerns about the weather and therefore the

safety of those both off and on shore. Weather reports indicate chances of rain and thunderstorms

for the area. Event officials have apologized for the inconvenience but made the decision in the best

interest of the public's safety.
 
The parade will take place tomorrow evening at 8:15 pm with fireworks beginning at dusk.
