A St. Catharines man has died in a water-related incident in Prince Edward County.

The OPP, paramedics and firefighters were called to Baycrest Marina on Big Island at about 4:50 p.m. Thursday after a local resident saw a body in the Bay of Quinte.

The deceased was identified as Lorne MacKinnon, 68.

The Office of the Chief Coroner has been notified, and a post mortem examination was scheduled for Friday at Kingston General Hospital.

No information was available as to how MacKinnon ended up in the water.
