A tractor-trailer loaded with donations from local residents for pets with no food or water in Fort McMurray will soon head to the northern Alberta city.
Furballs Choice, a pet food and pet care company near Corbyville, is accepting cat and dog foot, cat litter, treats, toys and water for animals left without basic necessities in the fire-ravaged community.
Owner Stephanie Pignoli says donations can be made at her business at 852 Harmony Road, and at any of the pet stores in Belleville that are serving as drop off points, or arrangements can be made to pick up any contributions.
She says donations, including cash, will be accepted until Friday, and the 53-foot truck will leave on Monday for Fort McMurray.
