The name Sloan will appear on the ballot in Hastings-Lennox and Addington.
Jennifer Sloan, wife of Independent MP Derek Sloan, has declared that she will run as an Independent for the September 20th federal election.
In a release, Sloan says the reason she is running is to serve her community adding that she is part of what she describes as a 'growing movement' and to fight those who are 'selling Canada out'.
Last week, Derek Sloan announced he was running as an Independent candidate in the Alberta riding of Banff-Airdrie, challenging incumbent Conservative MP Blake Richards.
