Jack Natyshak's goal at 7:10 of the third period stood up as the winning goal for the Trenton Golden Hawks on Friday night.
The G-Hawks edged the North York Rangers 3-2 in comeback fashion at home to improve to 7-4 on the season.
The Rangers jumped ahead 2-0 on goals from Jacob Strizzi and Riley Patterson, but Trenton was able to answer back on Duncan Grube's second marker of the year.
Matt Cato tied the game at 12:01, and a tight checking battle continued well into the third.
A persistent Golden Hawks team eventually found the net on Natyshak's third of the year and held the fort to pick up the victory.
Cato and Jaden Raad notched two points each, with Jake Laville, Ryan Holmes and Mitch Lafay drawing single assists.
Ethan Fraser made 13 saves for the win.
The G-Hawks visit Minden to take on the Haliburton County Huskies on Saturday at 4 p.m.
