
Another successful meet for East Northumberland Secondary School in Brockville.
The Blue Dragons' track and field team competed at the Burnbrae-Hungerford Track and Field Classic on Friday, highlighted by three first-place finishes.

EAST NORTHUMBERLAND SECONDARY SCHOOL TRACK AND FIELD NEWS
The ENSS track and field team competed at the Burnbrae-Hungerford Track and Field Classic on Friday, May 12, at Thousand Islands Secondary School, in Brockville. More than 35 schools competed at this meet. Three ENSS athletes are TISS champions. Lily de Wal finished first in novice girls 300 m hurdles (53.11 s). Jawin Jeyapirakas won the novice boys 300 m hurdles (45.26 s). Brayden Clark finished first in senior boys long jump (6.14 m).
Other outstanding, top three finishes by ENSS athletes included the following.
Second place
Dominic Rittwage – novice 200 m (24.64 s)
Jacob Wamboldt – junior 300 m hurdles (44.43 s)
Malcolm Whittle – senior 200 m (23.79 s)
Zack Flatt – senior shot put (12.30 m)
Third place
Chase Eddy – novice 400 m (58.67 s)
Layla Vis – senior 400 m (1:06)
Aidan Molenhuis – senior 400 m hurdles (1:05)
Malcolm Whittle – senior 100 m (11.37 s)
Aidan Fairbank – senior 200 m (24.17 s)
Next up for the Blue Dragons will be the Bay of Quinte Championship on Wednesday, May 17, in Belleville.
