The Flood Warning issued by the Crowe Valley Conservation Authority remains in effect.
Despite a smaller than expected amount of rainfall over the last couple of days, flooding conditions still exist for the Crowe River (from Cordova Lake south through the village of Marmora until it empties into the Trent River), Beaver Creek (especially in the Marmora area), as well as Wollaston, Chandos, Limerick (St. Ola), Steenburg, Cordova, Belmont and Crowe lakes.
Receding of water levels in these areas could resume if there is no signficant rainfall for the next 48 to 72 hours.
Municipalites, emergency services and individuals in flood prone areas should remain vigilant in dealing with high water levels until they are no longer considered a threat.
