Lots of Top 10 finishes highlighted a very good outing for the East Northumberland Secondary School track team in Kingston on Friday.

It was especially good for senior Brayden Clark who won the 100 metres, the long jump and the 4x100 metre relay.

EAST NORTHUMBERLAND SECONDARY SCHOOL TRACK AND FIELD NEWS

The ENSS track and field team competed at the Limestone Legacy Invitational Track and Field Meet in Kingston on Friday, April 28. Eastern Ontario schools from Brighton to Brockville competed at this meet. Senior Brayden Clark led that ENSS team with three first place finishes. Brayden won the 100 m event in an impressive time of 11.88 s and he won long jump with a personal best 6.24 m. Brayden anchored his 4 x 100 m A relay team – which included Malcolm Whittle, Aidan Fairbank, and Sam Poulin – to a first place finish in 45.59 s. Other outstanding, top eight finishes by ENSS athletes included the following.

Next up for the Blue Dragons will be the Bay of Quinte Invitational, hosted by ENSS on Friday, May 5, at Mary Ann Sills Park, in Belleville. Events start at 9:00 am and spectators are welcome.
