Greater Napanee is getting a funding boost to enhance its Water Pollution Control Plant.
A joint funding announcement was made on Monday afternoon by Hastings-Lennox and Addington MP Mike Bossio, Greater Napanee Mayor Marg Isbester and Rural Economic Development Minister Bernadette Jordan.
$28 million will go towards improvements at the facility as well as an expansion, that is expected to allow for more advanced water treatment and for the plant to meet future increases in demand.
$14 million will come from the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program, while the Town of Greater Napanee will pay the remaining project costs.
