The Humane Society of Hastings and Prince Edward is getting some very high-profile support as they work to finish the fundraising campaign for their new headquarters.

Actor, comedian, and Belleville native Lauren Ash is lending her support to the Last Mile Campaign with a special video released on the Humane Society webpage.

The Superstore actress talks about peaches (one of her rescue dogs) and the importance of supporting the local humane society.

The fundraising campaign has already raised 5 million dollars for the new facility, with the last mile campaign trying to raise the last million by directing people to the campaign website.
