A suspect in a stabbing incident in Belleville is in police custody.
City Police Staff Sergeant Al Portt said Tyler Egan, 30, of Belleville was arrested by Lennox and Addington County OPP on Thursday, and he was brought to Belleville to face his charges.
An arrest warrant was issued for Egan after a man was stabbed at a Front Street business on June 9, and he was taken to Kingston General Hospital with serious injuries.
The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.
Egan, who faces charges of assault with a weapon, aggravated assault, break and enter, theft under $5000, Theft of credit card, fail to comply with probation, possession of property obtained by crime and use of credit card data stemming from several incidents will appear in Belleville court Friday for a bail hearing.
