A Belleville man has been charged with child pornography offences.

An investigation into sexual assault allegations involving "young females", began in May.

Michael Tregunna, 44, was charged Tuesday at a west end home with possession of child pornography, production of child pornography and resisting a peace officer. 

Tregunna will appear in Belleville Provincial Court Monday for a bail hearing.
