Hastings Prince Edward Public Health has issued a beach posting for this weekend.

Centennial Park in Deseronto has been posted as unsafe for swimming at this time.

The local health unit monitors bathing beach water quality at beaches in their jurisdiction through the collection and analysis of water samples for e.coli bacteria.

Warnings for beaches are issued when e.coli levels in that water are higher than the provincial standard.
