Bay of Quinte MP Ryan Williams says he saw the new party leader's potential right from the start.
Pierre Poilievre was elected as the new leader of the Conservative Party of Canada on Saturday night . It was a definitive first-ballot victory where he received 68 percent of the vote.
"It stamps a seal of approval on Pierre’s ability to lead this party and this caucus, and sets the stage for an upcoming election" states Williams.
"I saw Pierre’s leadership from the beginning, from his ability to speak to all Canadians, not only about Conservative objectives such as ensuring people make more, that we eliminate government waste, and people have a choice on their personal medical decisions, but also his ability to speak a message that resonated to all Canadians. He drew record crowds to all of his rallies, including the rally in Bay of Quinte on March 17."
"I look forward to working with Pierre, as the leader of the Conservatives, as we tackle the housing crisis, inflation, our worker shortages, and ensuring that Canadians rights and freedoms are upheld."
