A special gift from a local artist.

That's what Hospice Quinte received from artist Barbara Whelan, best known for her colourful scenes of the Quinte region.

'Purple Tulip' will be hung at the new Stan Klemencic Care Centre.

In a release, Hospice Quinte Donor Relations and Communications Manager Sandi Ramsay said she is hoping more local artists will consider donating proceeds from their commissions, or gifts of art that can be used to raise money for Hospice Quinte.
