Two Southern Ontario men face charges in connection with a cannabis plant bust in Prince Edward County.

Prince Edward County OPP officers and members of the East Region Community Street Crime Unit executed a search warrant on Thursday on County Road 28 in Ameliasburgh.

More than 1,600 cannabis plants, along with a generator and a variety of property and equipment used for the production of cannabis were seized.

45-year-old Wen Zhui Chen of Markham and 38-year-old Shenghui Li of Hamilton were arrested and face charges of cultivating, propagate, or harvesting more than four cannabis plants when they appear in a Picton court on December 2.
