There's a new, but familiar face coming to bolster Quinte West Fire and Emergency Services.
Rick Caddick has been hired to be the new Deputy Fire Chief in the municipality.
Caddick brings more than 20 years of experience to the position and makes the short drive from Brighton, where he was Fire Chief for a period of time.
He also previously served as Fire Chief of Stirling Rawdon.
Quinte West Fire Chief John Whalen stated he's pleased to bring a high-quality candidate such as Caddick to the role and added his experience, passion for the job and strong community connections make him the perfect fit.
Caddick officially starts his new role on September 8.
