BAKER, Robert Alfred Charles 'Bob' – of Bayside formerly of Batawa at the age of 83, passed away on July 8th, 2016 at Belleville General Hospital after a lengthy illness. Robert was the son of Reg and Peggy Baker as well as the beloved husband of the late Ferne Baker. He will be lovingly missed by his daughter Lynn Baker-Casey (Barry), sons Chuck Baker, Steven Baker (Lori) and daughter Lisa Baker (Stefan). Ever remembered by grandchildren Marc Casey (Amber), Timothy Casey (Emily), Meghan Casey, Jordan Baker (Julie), Drew Baker (Krista) and Amanda Baker; great-grandchildren Jonah and Liam Casey, Georgia and Audrey Baker; siblings Joan Morawski, Beverly Brothers (Chuck), Wonita Cassibault (Joe), Susanne Gagne, Michael Baker (Bonnie) and predeceased by Ron Baker (living Marilyn); as well as numerous nieces and nephews and extended family. Bob was a proud Veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces and Hasty P's Regiment. He worked for Bata Footwear up until his retirement in Batawa, where he resided and raised his family. The kindness and care for Bob by the staff at Belleville General Hospital is greatly appreciated. The family will receive friends at the RUSHNELL FUNERAL CENTRE, 60 Division Street, Trenton on Saturday, July 16th, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. until time of Service in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. The Reverend Canon Thora W. Rowe officiating. Following the Service there will be a Celebration of Bob's Life at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #110 Trenton.
