GAINFORTH, Gertrude "Gert"... Passed away peacefully at Hastings Manor Nursing Home on Saturday, July 9, 2016 in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late R. Ford Gainforth. Loving mother of Janice McMullen & husband Keith of Trenton, Alvin & wife Lyn of Brighton and Bob & wife Claire of Quispamsis, NB.  Loved grandmother of Theresa Toth & husband Andrew, Abby & husband Chris Benedetti, Becke & husband Lee Beech, Julie & Kevin and great grandmother of Kaitlyn Toth, Arlo Beech, Sebastian and Amelia Benedetti.  Will be fondly remembered by her niece Stephanie "Kate" Gouchie and her husband Bill.  Predeceased by her sister Elfrieda Moroney and sister in law Marie Bunting of Trenton. Gert will be remembered as a business woman, accomplished piano player and teacher, volunteer and accomplished tennis player.  The family will receive friends at the Weaver Family Funeral Home, West Chapel, 170 Dundas St. W., Trenton on Thursday, July 14, 2016 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Peters Catholic Church on Friday, July 15, 2016  at 11:00 am. Cremation to follow.
