Traffic stop in Belleville leads to drug charges against 5 people

Belleville Police charged five people after drugs were seized in the city on Tuesday.

Members of Project Renewal stopped a vehicle in Belleville’s west end after noticing people wanted on outstanding warrants.

Officers arrested the individuals on the strength of outstanding warrants and the driver said to be operating the vehicle while his license was suspended.

Police seized a quantity of methamphetamines, fentanyl, cocaine and cash.

As a result of the police investigation the following persons were arrested and charged:

Austin COONEY, 30, of Belleville, was charged with the following offences and held for a bail hearing:

· Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance – Fentanyl

· Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance – Methamphetamines

· Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance – Cocaine

· Possession of proceeds of crime under $5000

· Failing to comply with probation order

Jessie DRAKER, 43, of Belleville, was charged with the following offences and held for a bail hearing:

· Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance – Fentanyl

· Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance – Methamphetamines

· Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance – Cocaine

· Possession of proceeds of crime under $5000

Michael CORNWALL-GODDARD, 37, of Belleville, was charged with the following offences and held for a bail hearing:

· Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance – Fentanyl

· Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance – Methamphetamines

· Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance – Cocaine

· Possession of proceeds of crime under $5000

· Fail to Comply with Probation

Amanda LOVELESS, 38, was charged with the following offences and held for a bail hearing:

· Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance – Fentanyl

· Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance – Methamphetamines

· Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance – Cocaine

· Possession of proceeds of crime under $5000

Donald DAVEY, 37, of Belleville, was charged with the following offences and held for a bail hearing:

· Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance – Fentanyl

· Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance – Methamphetamines

· Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance – Cocaine

· Possession of proceeds of crime under $5000

· Drive Under Suspension, HTA
