The Lennox and Addington (L&A) County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a driver in an impaired driving related investigation in the Kaladar area.
On Wednesday, November 12, 2025, just after 10:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to a traffic complaint on County Road 41 near Kaladar, followed by a second traffic complaint on County Road 4 in Loyalist Township.
A short time later officers located a suspect vehicle and driver at an address in Loyalist Township. The driver was subsequently arrested and transported to detachment for further testing.
As a result, Joshua HOWES, age 43, of Loyalist Township was charged with:
Operation while impaired – alcohol
Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee at a later date. His licence was suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
