The Picton Pirates needed another shootout to win on Thursday night.
Two nights after outgunning Lakefield in the skills competition, the Pirates came back from being down 3-1 halfway through the game to beat the Amherstview Jets 4-3.
Jakob Gardner nabbed the shootout winner.
Cole Mulder notched a goal and two assists, with other tallies coming from Gerrit Kempers and Colby Leaver, the latter posting his first goal of the season.
Nolan Lane stopped 32 shots in the Picton victory.
The Pirates are off until they host the Frankford Huskies at 7:30 p.m. next Thursday.
Friday night, the Trenton Golden Hawks host the Milton Menace at 7:30 p.m. in a rematch of last season’s Buckland Cup OJHL Final won by Trenton in six games.
The Wellington Dukes visit Lindsay at 7 p.m., while in the PJHL, the Napanee Raiders entertain the Trent Hills Thunder ar 7:30 p.m.
