OPP urge motorists to maintain winter mindset after multiple collisions

The OPP is urging drivers to slow down and drive to the conditions as roads are still slippery from Monday night’s snowfall.

East Region OPP say they responded to approximately 70 collisions between 6 p.m. and 7 a.m. on Tuesday.

Most were minor and many involved vehicles sliding into the ditch, police said.

Driving conditions are still “less than ideal.”

Adjust your driving, slow down, leave extra space and keep your eyes on the road (not your phone).
