Frost Advisory in effect in Quinte

UPDATE FRIDAY MORNING AT 5 AM -The Frost Advisory for parts of Quinte has been extended on Friday morning.

FRIDAY ADVISORY – Frost may damage some crops in frost-prone areas. Patchy frost is expected early this morning as temperatures drop to near the freezing mark. Damage to plants, trees, and crops is possible. Cover up plants, especially those in frost-prone areas.

ORIGINAL POST – Gardeners may want to take a few extra precautions if they have already invested significant time already this spring.

A Frost Advisory (yellow) has been issued by Environment Canada for a large part of the Quinte Region including Belleville, Quinte West, Prince Edward County, Brighton and Napanee.

Frost is possible again tonight in some areas. Damage to plants, trees, and crops is possible. Cover up plants, especially those in frost-prone areas.
