Belleville Downtown Blues Festival taking place Sep 5 & 6

Immerse yourself in the rich, vibrant rhythms of blues during the Belleville Downtown Blues Festival taking place Sep 5th & 6th in the heart of the city.

Downtown Blues’ mission is to provide a quality blues music experience to residents and visitors to the City of Belleville, engage local musicians, activate our downtown core, and provide vital funding and resouirces for Gleaners Foodbank.

Sep 5: Shawn Dore Big Blues Band from 7 to 8:30pm at the Pinnacle Playhouse (256 Pinnacle St). Doors open at 6pm.

The rest of the listed performances will perform on Sep 6.

Paul Denyes and Greg Hinde from 11am to 12:30pm on the third floor of the Belleville Public Library (254 Pinnacle St).

Matt Smith Trio from 12:30pm to 2pm on the main stage at the intersection of Bridge and Front St. In the Belleville Club at the same time should it rain.

Soulfire Band from 1pm to 3pm at Marketplace Square (169 Front St). Same time in the Pinnacle Playhouse should it rain.

Blue Syl and The Sweet Home Band from 1pm to 3pm at The Core (223 Pinnacle St). This show moves from the Core to the Pinnacle Playhouse in the event of rain from 3:30pm to 5pm.

Peggy Voight with Allan Bergman from 2pm to 3pm in Theatre in the Wings (30 Bridge St East).

Reconsider Baby from 12pm to 2pm in Jim’s Computer Repair (392 Front St).

Freddie Vendetta Workshop (How to Write a Saturday Night Blues Song) at 3pm in Theatre in the Wings (30 Bridge St East).

Afternoon Headliner: Diana Braithwaite and Chris Whiteley Band from 3pm to 4:30pm on the main stage at the intersection of Bridge and Front St. In the Core at the same time should it rain.

Tony Silvestri from 4pm to 6pm at the Belleville Club (210 Pinnacle St).

The Stir: Belleville’s Blues Powerhouse from 5pm to 6:30pm on the main stage at the intersection of Bridge and Front St. In the Core at the same time should it rain.

Evening Headliner: Miss Emily from 7pm to 8:30pm on the main stage at the intersection of Bridge and Front St. In the Core at the same time should it rain.

UpFront Cafe will be open after the festival to keep the blues vibe going.

Admission is free. Donations of food or cash to Gleaners Foodbank is encouraged.
