Qualified staff will now be able to prepare sterile and non-sterile preparations in a safe environment. Pharmaceutical compounding is a method for personalising medication to fit the unique needs of a patient.

What is compounding? And how can it help me?

Patients that cannot swallow capsules or tablets can now get them made into an alternative dosage form. Disguising the taste of certain paediatric medications, will now make it easier to ensure compliance in our younger population. Other frequently compounded preparations include treatment for pain management; hormone replacement therapy (HRT); injections for erectile dysfunction(ED) and medications for pregnancy/fertility. Certain discontinued medications, as well as medications that are temporarily not available will now be available in a suitable replacement formula.
