TAYLOR, William “Bill” George.
Ret’d Master Warrant Officer, RCAF.
Passed away suddenly at the Trenton Memorial Hospital on Thursday, January 5, 2017. Beloved husband of Mary Taylor (nee Smith) for 50 Golden years. Predeceased by his parents George and May Taylor. Beloved father of Robert Thurgarland (Cheryl) of New Jersey, Shannon Taylor of Belleville, and Cameron Taylor (Joann) of Trenton. Loving proud Papa to Cassidy, Caitlin, Ethan, and Ashley. Great Papa to Emma, Grayson, and Summer. Survived by his brother Robert “Bob” Taylor (Kay) of Calgary. Fondly remembered by all his nieces and nephews. Bill’s military career spanned 34 years with the RCAF which took him and his family around the world. With Bill’s infectious smile, charismatic personality, and wry sense of humour, he touched the lives of everyone he met, whether it was at the golf course or his many breakfast eateries around town. Always involved in his grandchildrens’ lives, he could be seen proudly supporting them at the arenas, soccer fields, and rugby pitch. He also took pleasure watching Treehouse and playing cars with his great grandson. Cremation has taken place, and as per Bill’s wishes, a private family service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
The family would like to send a special thank you to the countless first responders (Quinte West Fire Department and Hastings-Quinte EMS ), and the staff at the Trenton Memorial Hospital.
