Burnham, Vivian

Burnham, Vivian

Burnham, Vivian May (nee Hobbs), formerly of Toronto, died peacefully at the Bridge Hospice in Warkworth, on Tuesday January 3, after a life well-lived. Beloved wife for 64 years of the late Jack Lloyd Burnham, with whom she shared bowling trophies at the Granite Club, summers at the Muskoka family cottage, and winters near Tucson Arizona. Most of all, Vivian loved being with her family, who treasure memories of her baking, her knitting, her prowess at cards and crosswords, her wry sense of humour, and her warmth.
Vivian was the daughter of Jeannie and James Hobbs of Granby, Quebec, and dear mother of Sandy Smith (David) of Bloomfield, Alan Burnham (Marcia) of Meaford, and Dave Burnham (Carol) of Campbellford. She was a loving grandmother to Peter (Melanie), Andrea (Scott), Stephen (Alison), and great-grandmother of Moira, Sascha, Liam, Ella Vivian, Evan, and Colby. Step-grandmother of Seana (Gord), Mhairi (Peter), and step great-grandmother of Parys. Dear sister of Irene Harvey (Bill), and Johnny Hobbs (Rose). Predeceased by brothers Bobby, Francis, Donald, and Jimmy Hobbs, and sisters Helen Green, Verlie Livingston, and Ruth Banks. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. More recently, Vivian called Island Park Retirement Residence her home, and was so thankful for the care and friendship of Sherri, Danielle, Katlyn, Kim, Marlene, Rhian and her staff, Melinda and Jill, Krista, Adam, and the dining room and cleaning staff.
We would also like to thank the Campbellford Memorial Hospital, and Kerri and her staff at the Bridge Hospice in Warkworth.

Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at the Weaver Family Funeral Home, 77 Second St., Campbellford, on Sunday January 15, 2017 - visitation from 12:30 - 2:00 PM, followed by the service at 2:00 PM.

Donations in memory of Vivian may be made to Campbellford Memorial Hospital or the Bridge Hospice. Online guestbook and condolences at www.weaverfuneralhomes.com
