Peacefully entered into rest at her home with her family at her side on Sunday, June 16th, 2019. Jessie Hunter (nee Daye) of Palmer Road, Belleville died at the age of 98. She was the daughter of the late Walter & Grace Daye (nee Crossman) and wife of the late William "Bill" Hunter. Jessie was the cherished mother of Susan Calnan (David) of Consecon, loving nana of Victoria Calnan-Truong (Steve) of Agassiz, BC and great-nana of Brayden, Kayleigh and the late Charlotte. She is survived by her sister-in-law Margaret Daye of Sarnia. Jessie is predeceased by her siblings Agnes Mossman, John Daye, Douglas Daye, Frances Wiley and Gladys Daye. Jessie will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, and by her long-time loving caregiver and family friend, Eunice Beck. The family wish to extend their deepest thanks to the Belleville Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic, Paramed and the V.O.N. for their support and care of Jessie.

Mrs. Hunter is resting at the JOHN R. BUSH FUNERAL HOME, 80 Highland Avenue, Belleville (613-968-5588) for visitation on Monday, June 24th, 2019 from 12 noon till 1:00 p.m. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Monday, June 24th, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. Interment Belleville Cemetery.
