ACTON, Harry – at Quinte Gardens, Belleville on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at the age of 92. Son of the late George and Maude (Riddle) Acton. Beloved husband of Mary (Tulloch) Acton. Loved father of Barbara (Michael) Travale, George (Karen) Acton, Douglas (Joyce) Acton and Mark (Christine) Acton; stepfather of Gerald (Sharon) Bower. Survived by sisters Rita (Don) MacDonald and Delores (Brian) Bell. Ever remembered grandfather of eight. Predeceased by beloved wife Clara (Neufield) Acton, sisters Violet (Jock) Brown and Patricia (Phillip) Benson. Harry was a retired RCAF Squadron Leader 1943-1974. Served overseas WWII, Northern England, Germany with the Halifax Bombers, Mosquitos, Spitfires, and 1965-1970 with the Star Fighters in Germany and with the Directorate of Nuclear Weapons in Ottawa. Inducted into the United States Armed Forces Hall of Fame. A defender of freedom and Canadian patriot. Following his wishes there will be no Service. Inurnment Belleville Cemetery at a later date.
